The reason for this is the unbelievable amount of sugar packed in them. Natural or not, it\u2019s still sugar and it will still cause your blood sugar to rise\u2026 a lot. Why is that bad you might ask\u2026 So let\u2019s sum it up.<\/p><p>I know that many of you need a weight-loss related angle to REALLY care about this (no judgment at all, just being realistic) that\u2019s why I\u2019m focusing on that.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Insulin and Fat Storage<\/strong>: When we eat,\u00a0our body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose,\u00a0which enters the bloodstream.\u00a0In response,\u00a0the pancreas releases insulin,\u00a0a hormone that helps cells absorb glucose for energy.\u00a0However,\u00a0if there&#8217;s a sudden surge of glucose from refined carbohydrates or sugary drinks,\u00a0insulin levels spike dramatically.This high insulin surge promotes fat storage.\u00a0Once cells have taken up enough glucose for their immediate needs,\u00a0insulin signals the liver and muscles to convert excess glucose into glycogen,\u00a0a stored form of energy.\u00a0However,\u00a0when glycogen stores are full,\u00a0the remaining glucose gets converted into triglycerides,\u00a0a type of fat,\u00a0and stored in fat tissue. This contributes to weight gain over time.<\/p><p><strong>Increased Appetite and Cravings<\/strong>: Blood sugar spikes are often followed by crashes, where blood sugar levels drop rapidly. This can trigger feelings of hunger and cravings for sugary or high-carbohydrate foods, leading to further weight gain.<\/p><p>Trust me it is far easier to live life with steady blood sugar levels than trying to literally fight your own biology\u2026 Eating the wrong way will make it impossible to resist those cravings. Ultra-processed foods and sugary drinks do not promote steady blood sugar levels making it pretty much impossible for people to lose weight for as long as they consume them on regular basis. Unfortunately this modern food environment is so difficult to navigate especially as food companies are allowed to say pretty much anything on front of food packaging, which can be so misleading. We didn\u2019t just all become weaker than the previous generations\u2026 our food environment changed. So don\u2019t blame yourself no matter where you are with your wellness right now; just take small action steps towards eating in a health and weight-loss promoting way.\u00a0<\/p><p>I do also want to mention some of the long-term effects of your blood sugar spiking regularly<\/p><ul><li>Increased risk of diabetes:\u00a0Frequent blood sugar spikes can overwhelm your body&#8217;s ability to produce or use insulin effectively,\u00a0potentially leading to prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.<\/li><li>Heart disease:\u00a0Chronically high blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels and increase the risk of heart attack,\u00a0stroke,\u00a0and other cardiovascular problems.<\/li><li>Kidney damage:\u00a0Over time,\u00a0high blood sugar can damage the kidneys,\u00a0reducing their ability to filter waste products from your blood.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You might have seen me talk about juice on my Instagram\u2026 How I\u2019m not a fan of it at all.
